Job Profile: Finance and Accounting Rotational (FAR) Program Associate

Brief Description:

  • Ideal for graduating college students or recent graduates aiming to develop leadership and technical skills in finance and accounting through rotational assignments

Program Summary:

  • Participants rotate through 3 – 4 different teams within the finance organization for approximately 6 months each
  • Exposure to roles such as Investor Relations, Treasury, Financial Planning and Analysis, Subsidiary Finance, Internal Audit, Tax, Business Process Improvement, General and Technical Accounting, External Reporting, and more
  • Focus on developing critical leadership and technical skills through networking, in-depth training, and ongoing coaching and feedback
  • Graduates typically transition into Analyst roles within FAPO Finance or domestic subsidiaries

Responsibilities Can Include:

  • Preparing and analyzing financial statements.
  • Performing account reconciliations and journal entries.
  • Assisting with ad hoc projects and requests.
  • Evaluating trends and investigating account variances.
  • Maintaining general ledger accounts in accordance with GAAP.
  • Promoting teamwork between departments.
  • Assisting with state and federal tax returns.
  • Conducting audits to evaluate internal controls and recommend process improvements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with a GPA of 3.2 or higher

  • Professional work experience, including internships, preferred
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Demonstrated leadership potential

Job Profile: HR Business Partner

Job Summary:

  • The HR Business Partner acts as a trusted HR advisor for the FAPO team within their designated area or location
  • Reports to the Area HR Manager or Regional HR Manager, People
  • Collaborates with leaders and HR team members to implement core HR functions aimed at fostering a dynamic workforce
  • Focus areas include onboarding, training, performance management, compensation, and employee engagement
  • Ensures consistent support for FAPO teammates throughout the employee lifecycle

Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll accurately for hourly and salaried staff, including deductions, adjustments, and time tracking
  • Conduct New Hire Orientation and manage onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Maintain employee files and provide HR reporting on various topics
  • Handle employee relations, performance management, and grievance resolution
  • Ensure compliance with training, education, and regulatory requirements
  • Uphold company policies and ensure legal compliance
  • Manage unemployment claims processing
  • Assist with benefits administration and conduct benefits orientation
  • Facilitate People events and leadership meetings to enhance teammate engagement
  • Stay updated on HR trends, best practices, and employment laws

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma
  • 3+ years of HR Administrative experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Familiarity with HR laws, regulations, and guidelines
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience with payroll administration
  • Ability to handle confidential information

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or business
  • 4+ years of HR experience
  • Experience with Workday and Kronos
